As Director of the European Research Institute, you will play a key strategic role in establishing SANY Truck’s R&D base in Europe.
This position is based in Germany on a Hybrid model. The position can be based in Bedburg or Stuttgard.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Leading the strategic planning and product roadmap for both heavy-duty and light-duty trucks tailored to the European market;
* Managing the full operations of the institute – including team building, budget oversight, and goal setting ;
* Overseeing cutting-edge R&D projects, including electric, hydrogen-powered trucks and smart charging infrastructure;
* Driving market intelligence and technology scouting to stay ahead of industry trends;
* Launching innovative product lines with a clear focus on sustainability, digitization, and performance.
Your Profile:
* Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in mechanical, electrical, automotive engineering, or related field;
* 10+ years of experience in R&D within Europe’s commercial vehicle industry or Trucks industry,
* Experience working in an OEM
* Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and launching successful products;
* Deep understanding of commercial vehicle technologies and industry dynamics ;
* Strong market insight, established professional network, and connections with key industry stakeholders;
* Excellent negotiation skills and cross-cultural communication abilities ;
* Strategic thinker with a long-term vision and a passion for innovation.
