Role

Role reports to: Sr Commercial Director Germany

Location: Europe/Middle East/Africa, Germany, North Rhine Westphalia, Rhein-Kreis Neuss

Work Location: Hybrid


What you will do

Kenvue is recruiting for a Commercial Director (f/m/d) for Mass Retail Channel Germany. This position reports to the Senior Sales Director and is based in Neuss. The role accelerates our Mass retail channel strategy within Germany, focusing on Grocery & Discount (LEH + Discount) as key growth channels, delivering the Go to Market Strategy, meeting/exceeding KPIs, and shaping medium to longer-term plans with customers. The successful candidate will be a people-focused, courageous and results-oriented leader with an end-to-end and entrepreneurial mindset. This role offers an opportunity to accelerate career to senior levels within the Germany sales organization.


Key Responsibilities

* Channel Ownership: Full commercial ownership of the Grocery and Discount channels in Germany.
* Customer Strategy: Develop and execute differentiated strategies for each retailer, aligned with broader commercial goals.
* Team Leadership: Lead, coach and develop a team of Account Managers and Key Account executives.
* P&L Management: Own the sales forecast, gross margins, trade spends, promotional budgets and revenue targets per customer.
* Negotiation Excellence: Lead annual negotiations with local and regional customers including buying groups.
* Retailer Relationships: Build strong, trust-based partnerships with top retailer partners.
* Contribute to wider Germany sales success as a key member of leadership team undertaking wider leadership projects, deputising for Senior Sales Director as required.

He or she will have demonstrated:

* An outstanding track record of success in sales (Mass and/or Discount channel is ideal, but not a must) with a minimum of 8 to 10 years\' experience at senior leadership level.
* Strong track record in negotiations: listing wins, trade spend management & market share growth.
* Demonstrated success in both strategic planning and perfect execution.
* Proven experiences with people development.
* International experiences will be an advantage.

* Ambition, motivation and inspirational qualities as a leader
* Superior communication and influencing skills
* Fluency in German and in English
