[3 days in the office, 2 days from home] This role supports compliance by conducting trade and communication surveillance, advising on regulations, and promoting a strong compliance culture. It also plays a key role in managing algorithmic trading risks, developing monitoring frameworks, and supporting regulatory adherence across multiple locations. Responsibilities: Conduct trade and communication surveillance to detect and report potential market abuse and regulatory breaches (MAR, REMIT). Advise the business on regulatory changes and support compliance with MiFID II, EMIR, and other applicable rules. Develop and maintain the trade surveillance program, including calibrating alerts and improving detection systems. Support the creation of a compliance framework for algorithmic trading and ensure governance of electronic trading activities. Build partnerships across global teams and support compliance training to foster a strong culture of ethics and compliance. Requirements: at least 5 years experience with energy commodity trading. Knowledge of key trading regulations (MiFID, MAR, REMIT, EMIR) and experience in compliance monitoring/surveillance.
