You will work in a modern, innovative environment and develop high-end surgical microscopes for neu-rosurgery. brYour main tasks will include brTaking ownership of the conception and ongoing development of the software architecture brProviding technical leadership and mentoring to the development team brSupporting technical questions, challenges, and troubleshooting brCollaborating closely with other development teams and departments brCoordinating technical aspects with external development partners brCreating technical and release documentation, as well as architecture diagrams brSupporting cybersecurity activities, including evaluating analysis results brConducting code reviews to ensure code quality and compliance with standards and specifications brDesigning, implementing, and maintaining software solutions brYour profile brA university degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field brMinimum of 10 years of professional experience, with at least 4 years as a Software Architect in regulated envi-ronments (medical, automotive, military) brExtensive experience in developing and owning software architecture for complex systems brStrong knowledge of C++ 14/17/20, with a proven track record of implementing complex software solutions brPreferable experience with CMake and Conan or comparable build and packaging mechanisms brProficiency in Object-Oriented Development (OOD, OOP) and design patterns brDeep understanding of software development methodologies, including agile practices brExcellent communication, problem-solving, and software engineering skills brExperience in mentoring and leading development teams brProficient verbal and written skills in English, and preferably in German as well brYour ZEISS Recruiting Team: brSabrina Rieker
