Are you a seasoned logistics leader with a deep understanding of high-frequency, temperature-controlled supply chains?
Our client is a prominent international trader with a vast assortment of goods. We are currently looking for a strategic Director of Logistics (m/f/d) to specialize in their high-paced Fresh Produce division.
In this pivotal role, you will orchestrate the complex flow of fruits and vegetables from global sourcing regions to the European market, balancing operational excellence with modern leadership.
Your Key Responsibilities
* International Logistics Strategy: You hold full responsibility for the transport of fresh produce from North Africa, Overseas, and Southern Europe, ensuring seamless delivery to warehouses across various European countries.
* Empowering Leadership: You lead the logistics team not just as a manager, but as a coach and mentor, focusing on professional development and a collaborative high-performance culture.
* Supply Chain Optimization: You manage and refine the logistics network, ensuring that the time-critical requirements of perishable goods are met with maximum efficiency.
* Stakeholder Management: You act as a key interface between international suppliers, carriers, and internal departments.
Your Profile
* Industry Expertise: Extensive experience in logistics management, specifically within the Fresh Produce (Fruit & Veg) sector or related perishable goods.
* Regional Knowledge: Solid experience in managing transport routes from North Africa and Southern Europe.
* Leadership Excellence: A proven track record of leading and developing teams through a coaching-led approach.
* Language Skills: Fluency in both German and English is a must.
* Location: Based in Germany.
