Job Description
We are looking for an International Tax Manager to join our global tax team at ContiTech.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all tax-related matters for designated foreign subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with international tax regulations, and driving tax optimization strategies. You will work closely with management, external tax consultants, and fiscal authorities to provide guidance and lead key tax projects across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide tax support for designated foreign countries, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations
2. Monitor and analyze international tax law changes, assess their impact on the group, and communicate key updates to internal stakeholders
3. Review and assist with the Tax Reporting of subsidiaries, ensuring timely and accurate registration
4. Participate in tax projects such as liquidations, mergers, tax audits, and restructurings
5. Review group structures to ensure alignment with corporate goals, and assist in necessary restructuring
6. Maintain regular contact with colleagues in foreign subsidiaries, providing ongoing support for business operations and projects
7. Support tax audits by German and foreign tax authorities, ensuring compliance and resolution of issues
8. Act as the primary tax contact for foreign tax authorities and coordinate with international colleagues on tax matters
9. Analyze tax consequences of reorganizations and provide guidance on potential impacts
10. Collaborate with external tax advisors to address complex tax questions and issues
11. Prepare and submit applications for tax certificates of residence for German group companies, liaising with the responsible German tax authority
Qualifications
12. University degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field (advanced degree or professional certification such as CPA, CTA, or equivalent preferred).
13. Several years of experience in international tax, preferably within a global organization
14. Strong knowledge of international tax regulations, transfer pricing, and tax compliance
15. Experience in handling complex tax projects, including M&A, restructurings, and tax audits
16. Proven experience in working with tax authorities and external advisors, managing tax matters in multiple jurisdictions
17. Proficiency in tax software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office suite
18. Fluency in German and English (written and spoken) required
19. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with both internal teams and external partners
20. Ability to work in a fast-paced, international environment and manage multiple priorities
21. International travel required (approx. 10 %)
