Job Opportunity: Ground Control Segment Engineer
About the Challenge
This position involves overseeing the maintenance, evolution, and development of the Galileo Ground Control Segment (GCS). You will collaborate with various teams to ensure successful project execution and contribute to the overall success of the Galileo program.
Main Responsibilities:
* Support integration, regression testing, and final implementation of new or upgraded ground control segment releases.
* Monitor system performance and troubleshoot technical issues.
* Conduct testing and validation of new systems and components, reporting on test results.
* Support ground segment configuration control.
* Ensure consistency of engineering activities with respect to qualification and acceptance tests.
* Prepare technical reports and documentation for system operations and maintenance.
* Participate in staff training on new systems and procedures.
* Respond to incidents and system failures, taking necessary corrective action.
* Support meetings and technical reviews with stakeholders.
About Us

* Strong knowledge of software installation, configuration, and testing.

We value previous experience and knowledge in:
* Linux Systems and Scripting.
* Knowledge of satellite navigation systems.
* Experience with automation tools and processes.
* Hands-on experience with satellite ground station equipment and operations.
* Familiarity with agile methodologies.
