& SummaryAt PwC, our people in deals focus on providing strategic advice and support to clients in areas such as mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and restructuring. They help clients navigate complex transactions and maximise value in their business deals.

Those in deal integration and valuation realisation at PwC will focus on assisting clients in successfully integrating acquisitions and maximising the value of their investments. You will be responsible for conducting valuations, financial analysis, and developing strategies for post-merger integration.

As a Manager in our Deals and Consulting team, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include your ability and attitude to:

1. Develop new skills outside of comfort zone

2. Act to resolve issues which prevent the team working effectively

3. Coach others, recognise their strengths, and encourage them to take ownership of their personal development

4. Analyse complex ideas or proposals and build a range of meaningful recommendations

5. Use multiple sources of information including broader stakeholder views to develop solutions and recommendations

6. Address sub-standard work or work that does not meet firm's/client's expectations

7. Use data and insights to inform conclusions and support decision-making

8. Take responsibility for preparing concise, accurate documents and for the quality of the team’s work products and addressing the needs of the client, the Firm and other stakeholders.

9. Develop a point of view on key global trends, and how they impact clients.

10. Proficient and proactive in project planning, administration and economics, e.g., budgeting, staffing, billing and time analysis.

11. Take responsibility for business development activities to help identify, research and respond to opportunities for new/existing clients.

12. Manage a variety of viewpoints to build consensus and create positive outcomes for all parties

13. Simplify complex messages, highlighting and summarising key points

14. Management and responsibility for compliance and risk management activities, including independence and relationship checks, Client Entity System (CES) research, sending out Authorization for Services (AFS), research on prospective clients (i.e. SEC and other regulatory status) and completing local Client and Acceptance procedures.

15. Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct

20. Sound judgement and problem solving skills, including a proactive approach to working with Partners and clients

21. Excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects

22. Ability to communicate effectively with the team, other PwC staff and clients

23. Good spelling, editing, proof-reading, punctuation and grammar skills; effective listening skills

24. Strong IT skills are essential

Minimum years experience required

Applicants should have experience in a deals or consultancy related environment or with a Big 4 Firm and be within their first 12 months at Manager grade.

Minimum qualifications:

25. Degree in Accounting, Finance Management, Economics, Business Management or a related field from a recognised university

26. Internationally recognised accounting designation such as ACA/ACCA/CA/CPA

27. Other professional qualifications (Forensic, Insolvency, CFA etc) would be an asset, but is not required.
