Chief Operating Officer (COO) – Europe | Fleet & Equipment Operations An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and hands-on Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join a rapidly growing international business delivering cutting-edge fleet and equipment solutions across the aviation and logistics sectors. This newly created role will be instrumental in leading and scaling operations across Europe, working directly with senior leadership to drive performance, innovation, and long-term strategic growth. Background & Experience (Must Haves) Based in the DACH Region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). Not from the aviation sector – we want someone who can bring fresh perspectives into an industry. Hands-on leader with proven workshop and technical operations experience. Strong track record of leadership at Director, COO, or Regional level. Comfortable with 50% travel and 50% presence in Schönefeld (Berlin). Relevant backgrounds may include (but are not limited to): Fleet or Commercial Vehicle Operations Heavy Equipment, Plant Hire, or Construction Machinery Industrial Vehicle or Logistics Support Services Key Responsibilities Oversee and optimise operations across multiple European locations. Lead and develop high-performing technical, service, and workshop teams. Drive innovation: digitalisation, asset utilisation, fleet performance, and ESG initiatives. Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic planning and business expansion. Be a visible, proactive leader who can “roll up their sleeves” when needed. What We’re Looking For Proven operational leadership experience across multi-site or international regions. Hands-on mindset with strong workshop/technical grounding. Commercially minded, ambitious, and strategic in outlook. Ability to thrive in a growth-focused, asset-heavy environment. Willingness to travel across Europe, with regular presence in Schönefeld.
