To support our growing team, we are looking for an experienced People & Culture professional to join us. In this generalist role, you will combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution as the primary HR responsible for the German entity of turbalance. You will build and scale our local People function, developing the structures, processes, and culture that enable high performance within a cutting-edge AI infrastructure company.
Act as a strategic partner to leadership on all People-related matters, ensuring scalable HR structures and processes that evolve in line with our company's long-term vision.
Oversee and optimize HR operations, including HRIS management, contract management, employee lifecycle processes, and documentation.
Manage employment contracts and ensuring compliance with German labor law, benefits, leave programs, as well as aligning with international employment structures.
Design a scalable compensation strategy, including salary bands and leveling frameworks that support growth while maintaining a flat, high-ownership culture.
Support the development of performance management processes that enable continuous development.
Use data and analytics to provide actionable insights that inform leadership decisions.
Serve as the primary liaison for employee matters, proactively addressing concerns and resolving organizational and operational challenges.
Your profile
5–7+ years of senior HR leadership experience, ideally within a startup or high-growth environment.
Strong knowledge of German employment law as well as practical experience
Excellent understanding of HRIS systems (Personio preferred)
Proven track record designing and implementing salary bands, leveling frameworks, and performance management systems.
Experience supporting and scaling diverse, international teams across on-site, hybrid, and remote environments.
Efficient stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build trust across all levels of the organization.
Highly resourceful self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment.
Fluent in English (business level) and German (C1 or above).
This is a hybrid position based in or near Heidelberg, combining regular on-site collaboration with flexible remote work.
