The Global Master Data Management Lead (m/f/d) plays a central role in shaping this foundation. The role combines global responsibility with local realities, bringing structure, governance and clarity to complex SAP landscapes and diverse stakeholder needs. It is designed for someone who wants to build, align and continuously improve, rather than operate within predefined boundaries.
This is what you can expect
* Defining, communicating and continuously evolving the global Master Data Governance and Data Quality strategy
* Owning and improving the global Master Data Governance model, aligned with Group IT and business strategy
* Acting as Global Process Owner (GPO) for Master Data processes
* Designing and optimizing data structures and governance processes for materials, customers, suppliers and business partners together with other GPOs
* Ensuring data quality, data ownership and regulatory compliance (including GDPR) across all HERO sites
* Facilitating and leading the global Master Data Community and governance bodies
* Initiating and implementing MDM improvement initiatives and SAP-based solutions
* Reporting transparently to Global Data Owners, MDM Sponsors and key stakeholders
* Collaborating closely with business functions, IT teams and external partners
* Supporting the global SAP S/4HANA rollout (PHI) from an MDM governance and process perspective
This is what you need to be successful in this role
* Ability to design and run global Master Data Governance, including data quality and ownership models
* Strong practical knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and SAP MDG / MDM
* Solid understanding of SAP processes (MM, SD, PP) and their master data dependencies
* Capability to integrate MDM into complex IT and system landscapes
* Strong process management skills, including standardization and improvement
* Ability to lead MDM initiatives as global projects, including change management
* Clear communication and facilitation skills with global, cross‑functional stakeholders
* Independent, structured working style with high ownership and collaboration mindset
* Fluent English; German or Spanish is beneficial
