We are seeking a skilled, detail-oriented mechanical engineer to support the design and development of mechanical systems for high-power electronic converters. The role involves creating robust, thermally efficient mechanical designs, including enclosures, heat sinks and support structures, while ensuring compliance with mechanical, thermal and environmental requirements. Other responsibilities include generating detailed CAD models, technical drawings, and manufacturing and validation documentation. Design 3D CAD models and 2D engineering drawings for power converter enclosures, heat sinks, busbars and support structures
Perform thermal and structural simulations using tools such as ANSYS, SolidWorks Simulation or COMSOL
Support the assembly and validation of mechanical subsystems, including fit checks, thermal measurements and stress testing
Document design changes, test results and engineering justifications in accordance with internal standards
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Proficiency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Creo, or Autodesk Inventor
Familiarity with thermal simulation and structural FEA tools (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL)
Experience with manufacturing methods such as sheet metal fabrication, CNC machining, casting, and 3D printing
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and standards (IEC, UL, IP ratings)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, German is a plus
