This organisation is now searching for a senior lawyer to be based in their Frankfurt office which is the headquarters for their European operations. We are seeking a German trained and qualified lawyer with 7+ years’ experience who has successfully completed training at a top firm and has solid post qualification experience in capital markets/derivatives/financial services e.g. listed securities, equities, FX, futures, CFDs, options. In-house experience will be a distinct advantage.
The role will involve working on a variety of projects and initiatives for the European business, namely the launch of new products, whilst also carrying responsibility for supporting the group’s European operations generally.
The successful candidate will sit alongside and collaborate with another Senior Legal Counsel in Frankfurt, but there will also be plenty of opportunity to take ownership of certain projects and work autonomously. Reporting directly to the Deputy General Counsel, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and have the confidence and ability to support a highly skilled workforce in a rapidly evolving, global business.
This is a varied role, and your responsibilities will primarily include:
* Contract drafting, interpretation and negotiation in relation to a wide variety of matters/products, such as FX-trading and share dealing;
* Advising on the structuring, development and marketing of new products;
* Advising on European regulatory developments;
* Interacting with third parties (including exchanges, market data vendors, prime brokers, IT vendors and marketing agencies);
* Advising the business on new initiatives which may be domestic or global in scope.
