1. Lead analysis of company-level FX exposures and execute hedges that protect against losses and enhance transparency for non-EUR cash flows
2. Produce comprehensive weekly and monthly liquidity reports that inform decision-making at both RWEST and the wider RWE Group
3. Continuously improve risk management methods, processes, and systems frameworks
4. Support the department’s credit risk control—distributing timely, actionable risk reports to key internal stakeholders
5. Price and calculate credit exposures to ensure robust support for new trading initiatives
6. Collaborate daily with colleagues across Accounting, Controlling, Corporate Finance, Treasury, Market Risk, and commercial functions
Job requirements and experience
7. University degree (preferably business, economics, mathematics, or science) plus significant experience in FX and liquidity risk management
8. Excellent understanding of commodity trading and the trading life cycle for both financial and physical instruments
9. Skilled manager who builds trust and rapport across teams
10. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities with exceptional attention to detail
11. Advanced programming skills (ideally with SQL, Python or C#) and a passion for transforming risk concepts into technical solutions
12. Highly motivated, pragmatic, and confident working both independently and within diverse teams
Advantageous, but not essential
13. Experience in commodity regulations, treasury platforms, or hedging deal structures
14. Proficiency in German
