About the Role
We are excited to announce an opening for a Sr. Strategic Sourcing Manager, EMEA. In this pivotal role, you will lead Pall's strategic sourcing function for the EMEA region, managing a talented team and supporting our manufacturing facilities. Your mission? To enhance Pall's financial and delivery performance through strategic negotiations, cost-saving initiatives, and robust Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) programs.
This position reports to the Sr. Director of Global Sourcing and is based onsite in Bad Kreuznach, Germany, as part of our Global Integrated Supply Chain team.
Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
* Regional Strategy Development & Implementation: Lead the execution of Pall's strategic sourcing policies across EMEA, ensuring alignment with sales and shipment targets.
* Performance Management: Drive Pall's Core Value Drivers (CVDs) including On-Time Delivery (OTD), backlog reduction, and cost savings.
* Team Leadership & Execution: Inspire your team to identify cost-saving projects and manage the execution of sourcing initiatives.
* Supplier Relationship Management: Cultivate strategic supplier relationships and lead critical contract negotiations.
* New Product Introduction (NPI) Support: Engage the sourcing team in NPI reviews to optimize cost and accelerate time-to-market.
* Operational Excellence: Champion the deployment of Danaher Business Systems (DBS) tools to enhance quality and cost efficiency.
* People Development: Foster a high-performance culture by mentoring and developing your team.
What We’re Looking For
The essential requirements include:
* BS Degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management with at least 5 years of relevant sourcing experience.
* Proven track record in managing a strategic sourcing team with significant spend responsibilities.
* Hands-on experience in achieving cost savings and managing supplier performance.
* Strong team player with influencing and change management skills.
* Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supplier development, preferably in a high-mix low-volume environment.
* Global sourcing experience in a multinational manufacturing company.
* Exceptional negotiation skills and familiarity with electronic sourcing tools.
Travel & Physical Requirements
* Willingness to travel internationally and domestically, up to 50% of the time, to support projects and business development efforts.
Bonus Points For
* Experience in the global marketplace and commodity management, ideally in filtration and separation processes.
* Ability to interpret product Bills of Materials (BOMs) and drawings.
* Experience in developing business strategies and leading strategic initiatives.
