Overview
You are a European and German Qualified Patent Attorney looking to expand your IP skillset, specifically in relation to high-value litigation matters. You may currently be recognised as aRechtsanwalt (m / w / d) by qualification in Germany.
You should have demonstrable experience working on patents in telecoms, ideally 3GPP and SEPs. Although experience in telecoms as a trainee or qualified attorney is important, an academic background in telecoms or communications technology is not essential.
Responsibilities
* Join a brand-new role within a highly successful, well-established practice team, providing integral service to patent clients requiring litigation support.
* As a qualified Patent Attorney, extend technical expertise to a team of litigators with portfolio analysis, portfolio testing, and drafting and prosecution of patents.
* Work in technology areas including telecoms, with a significant emphasis on Standard Essential Patents (SEP) litigation, where the firm is recognized as a go-to expert.
* Collaborate within the firm’s cross-border team of patent litigators based in the UK and Germany to service clients in major European jurisdictions.
* Engage in relevant litigation cases or gain in-house exposure to litigation, ideally within the telecoms sector at a manufacturer or network company.
Qualifications
* Dual-qualified German / European Patent Attorney.
* Experience working on patents in telecoms, ideally 3GPP and SEPs.
* Experience in telecoms litigation is important; academic background in telecoms or communications technology is not essential.
* Professional attitude with the ability to express complex ideas clearly and concisely, balancing IP law with commercial requirements.
