Fixed Asset Accountant
Overview
We are currently supporting a growing international organisation in the search for a Fixed Asset Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with experience in fixed assets, lease accounting, and capital expenditure environments to further develop within a dynamic and fast-paced business.
The ideal candidate will have approximately 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience and exposure to large capex-intensive organisations or projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and maintain the fixed asset register
* Support fixed asset accounting processes including capitalisation, depreciation, transfers, and disposals
* Assist with lease accounting activities, including IFRS 16 accounting and reconciliations
* Support month-end and year-end close processes relating to fixed assets and leases
* Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy of asset-related financial reporting
* Work closely with finance and operational stakeholders on capital expenditure projects and asset tracking
* Support audit requests and ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards
* Assist in monitoring and analysing capital expenditure across multiple entities or projects
* Contribute to process improvements within asset accounting and reporting activities
Requirements
* 3–5 years of accounting experience within fixed assets, lease accounting, or general financial accounting
* Previous exposure to fixed asset accounting environments
* Experience supporting or managing accounting activities within large capex entities or projects
* Understanding of lease accounting principles (IFRS 16 experience preferred)
* Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an international finance environment
* Fluent English language skills
Preferred Qualifications
* SAP experience, ideally within asset accounting modules
* German language skills
* Experience within multinational or complex corporate environments
* Exposure to manufacturing, infrastructure, energy, real estate, or other asset-intensive industries
