Area Manager Berlin In this role, you will lead a team of associates and team leads in one of our fulfilment centres to ensure high-quality service, safety, and operational efficiency. As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, optimizing processes, and leading a diverse team to achieve performance goals. You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on Rohlik’s customer experience while developing leadership and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment. Your Responsibilities • Serve as single threaded leader for assigned operational area within Rohlik operations. • Lead, coach, engage and develop a team of warehouse associates and team leaders to meet operational targets and business objectives. • Monitor and manage workflows, shift staffing, productivity and quality to maintain efficiency and ensure orders are processed accurately and on time. • Cooperate with central teams on delivery and following internal standards. • Act as role model and enforce safety policies and safe behaviour, conduct audits to ensure a safe work environment. • Analyze operational metrics and implement process improvements, drive projects to enhance productivity and reduce costs. • Drive a culture of engagement, inclusion, and high performance among team members. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operational Excellence, Automatization, HR, IT, and maintenance, to resolve challenges and optimize performance. • Ensure compliance with company policies, standard operating procedures, and local labor regulations. • Manage performance and provide coaching and development plans for team members. • Troubleshoot operational issues, identify root causes, and implement long-term solutions. What We Look For • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. • Min. 1-3 years of experience in people management, logistics, manufacturing and operations. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams. • Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment. • Proficiency in data analysis and performance management metrics (e.g., KPIs, operational reporting). • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays. Preferred Qualifications • MBA or University degree in a related field. • Experience in supply chain, warehouse management, or e-commerce operations. • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies. • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control processes.
