SUMMARY
The Principal Mobile Security Expert is the technical anchor of our mobile security division. While you define the strategy, you remain a hands-on practitioner who leads by example. You don't just set standards; you demonstrate them by validating complex exploits and diving deep into code when the team faces critical challenges. This role combines high-level architectural authority with the ability and willingness to perform deep-technical assessments on our most critical assets personally.
THE POSITION
We are seeking a Principal Mobile Security Expert to lead the security assessments for our existing mobile solutions. You will act as the final gatekeeper, creating & reviewing assessment results and ensuring that our applications withstand the most sophisticated threats. In this role, you will define the criteria for security audits, serve as the primary technical liaison for approval authorities (e.g., BSI) regarding the security posture of our current products and will define & lead the security assessment strategy.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
1. Technical Leadership & Execution: Lead the security assessment strategy while maintaining deep technical involvement; personally validate critical vulnerabilities and high-risk findings.
2. Assessment Authority: Reveal, review and validate complex security assessment findings; Act as the "Expert's Expert"—jumping in to support the team with complex reverse engineering or cryptographic analysis and providing engineering recommendations to resolve these issues.
3. Regulatory Compliance: Translate external security requirements into concrete assessment protocols to ensure seamless approval of our software.
4. Threat Analysis & Innovation: Spearhead the adoption of AI-driven analysis tools to enhance the depth and speed of our product security assessments.
5. Mentorship: Mentor Senior and Expert level engineers on advanced assessment methodologies and threat modeling
REQUIRED TECHNICAL AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE
6. Experience: 10+ years in Mobile Security with a strong focus on security auditing and architectural assessments.
7. Deep Expertise: Authority in cryptography, binary analysis, and evaluating existing mobile architectures against Common Criteria/VS-NfD.
8. Tech Stack: Proficiency in assessing code written in Java/Kotlin, Swift/Objective-C.
9. AI Strategy: Ability to integrate AI technologies into the security assessment lifecycle.
10. Communication: Exceptional skills to negotiate assessment outcomes with external authorities and internal stakeholders.
11. Language: Fluent English is mandatory; German is a strong plus.

Compensation Hiring Base Salary Range:

The actual compensation offered will be determined at the time of hire and is contingent upon multiple factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, relevant experience, demonstrated skills, and results of assessments conducted during the hiring process.
