Your area of work:
The Sustainability Reporting unit is responsible for Deutsche Börse Group's sustainability reporting compliance with legal requirements, such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and EU Taxonomy.
As an intern/ working student you will support the unit in the ongoing monitoring of the ESG data collection process and the continuous improvement of other reporting processes, such as the double materiality assessment and the EU Taxonomy. Based on a comprehensive understanding of the requirements of regulators, investors and sustainability stakeholders, you will support with the implementation of sustainability reporting and disclosure requirements as well as with advising internal departments.
Your responsibilities:
1. You will support the annual report preparation for sustainability-related topics including information and data gathering as well as content development
2. You will ensure alignment with sustainability disclosure requirements (CSRD) and best practices
3. You will support in other sustainability reporting tasks like participation in ESG ratings
4. You will continuously work towards improving the sustainability reporting processes and related internal control environment to ensure data reliability and accuracy
Your profile:
5. You are enrolled at a state-recognized university as a regular student during the entire period of activity and have completed at least 2 semesters (Study focus in the field of sustainability, economics, business studies, or other relevant fields)
6. You are familiar with ESG-related regulations and frameworks (e.g. CSRD, GHG Protocol)
7. Your independent and structured way of working, agile mind-set, as well as analytical skills help you manage new requirements easily and successfully balance interests of all internal and external parties
8. You will need to be able to move between multiple audiences and contexts in a deft manner
9. You have excellent language skills in English as well as good knowledge in MS Office (i.e., PowerPoint, Excel and Word). Proficiency in German is desirable
