I'm partnered with a global market leading metal processing company based in Hamm that is searching for a Global Commodity Manager to join their indirect procurement function. The company specialises in manufacturing highly technical components for a wide range of industries including but not limited to automotive, aerospace, building engineering, machinery, maritime etc. You would be responsible for all indirect materials that are close to the production line.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement procurement strategies for the indirect purchasing function in line with business objectives
* Responsible for all indirect procurement categories close to the production (PSA, MRO, fluids, gases etc.)
* Evaluate, develop, and manage existing and new suppliers on a national and international level
* Contribute to cost reduction initiatives by identifying and implementing value levers such as price benchmarking
* Serve as a key contact person for internal stakeholders and suppliers, fostering constructive and solution-oriented collaboration
* Act as the procurement interface for key stakeholders
Experience Required:
* 5+ years of procurement experience, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing environment
* Bachelor's degree
* Experience implementing cost optimisation projects within indirect purchasing
* Experience developing and implementing indirect procurement strategies
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Fluent English & German language
