We are looking for a Head of Product Development Manufacturing Instruments (x|w|m) for the Sartorius Stedim Biotech GmbH in Göttingen or Guxhagen (near Kassel). In this role, you will be responsible for the entire product development roadmap for our Biostat STR, Biostat B-DCU, and Biostat RM product lines from the first idea to market launch.
The team consists of approximately 14 employees and is looking forward to shaping the future with you.
Your Responsibilities
* You will be operationally responsible for product development in the Manufacturing Instruments area, including mechanics, electronics, automation, and software
* You will lead and develop an interdisciplinary team of engineers
* You will actively control the product lifecycle and work closely with product management, from idea generation to market launch, as part of development projects
* You will promote and ensure close exchange with Corporate Research, Product Management, Production, Quality Assurance, PD Consumables, and external partners (Customer Development Partners, Suppliers)
* You will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., GMP, ISO, CE) and adherence to cost, time, and quality targets within the development project in close collaboration with project management
* You will monitor the market, identify new trends and technologies, and integrate them into ongoing and future projects
* You will represent product development to internal stakeholders, customers, and cooperation partners
Your Profile
* You have a completed Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
* You have several years of experience in product development for bioprocess systems, ideally with a focus on bioreactors
* You have leadership experience in interdisciplinary teams and/or matrix organizations
* You have a deep understanding of regulatory requirements and quality standards in biopharmaceutical production
* You think entrepreneurially, have strategic strength, and excellent communication skills
* You have very good German and English language skills
* You are a proactive and communicative person
