RE Technologies is expanding its business by selling wind turbines on the German market and is currently establishing a robust and flexible supply chain setup for spare parts and services. These activities support installation and commissioning of wind turbines in Germany and Europe as well as aftermarket services.
RE Technologies is seeking a talent professional with 8-10+ years of experience in leading the architecture, design, and validation of advanced supervisory control software for wind turbines. Drive innovation in embedded systems and model-based development, ensuring scalable, maintainable, and grid-compliant control platforms aligned with renewable energy standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Architect and evolve the supervisory control software platform for wind turbines.
* Define software modularity, interfaces, and integration strategies across turbine subsystems.
* Lead model-based design initiatives using MATLAB/Simulink and Stateflow.
* Ensure robust communication protocol implementation across distributed control nodes.
* Guide SiL/HiL testing strategies and simulation-based validation.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align software architecture with mechanical, electrical, and grid requirements.
* Drive adoption of digital twin technologies for predictive control and performance optimization.
* Support certification and compliance efforts for safety-critical software aligned with IEC standards.
Preferred Qualifications
* Proven experience in software architecture for control systems in renewable energy or industrial automation.
* Deep understanding of IEC 61400, grid compliance, and safety-critical software development.
* Experience with digital twin environments, simulation platforms, and predictive modelling.
* Familiarity with certification processes for embedded control software.
