KG Organization Gas Services Business Unit Central Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Experienced Professional A Snapshot of Your Day Management of supplier qualification for machining processes of gas turbine components is a key part of the role. Technical support for suppliers is provided, with shared responsibility for qualifications, quality, schedules, and costs.The position includes responsibility for the development and industrialization of new production processes at the suppliers.Acting as the main point of contact, the role addresses technical questions or quality issues from suppliers as well as from internal stakeholders.It also serves as the technical interface between design/engineering and manufacturing.Data analysis, the identification of improvement opportunities, and the initiation of enhancements together with suppliers are essential tasks.With growing experience, involvement in larger projects increases. Strong English communication skills—both written and verbal—ensure effective interaction with partners and suppliers.How You’ll Make an Impact
1. Contribution to decarbonization through increased efficiency of gas turbine components
2. Management of product and process qualifications (PPQ) and production of hot gas components within a global team, including provision of manufacturability feedback to design and evaluation of manufacturing and delivery risks at assigned suppliers
3. Leadership of NPI projects, including milestone and budget tracking, coordination activities, and mitigation of schedule delays
4. Improvement of supplier processes based on statistical data and reduction of non‑conformance costs
5. Leadership of cost‑ and lead‑time‑reduction initiatives at coating suppliers
6. Contribution to technology roadmaps and feasibility studies for new designs and machining technologies
What You Bring
7. Successful completion of a university degree in mechanical engineering, process engineering, materials science, manufacturing, or a comparable field
8. Longstanding years of technical experience in machining processes (grinding, milling, EDM – sinking and FHEDM, STEM drilling)
9. Experience in project management within a technical or industrial environment
10. Experience in cross‑functional collaboration and expertise in turbine hot‑gas‑path components
11. Intercultural competence and willingness for international travel (~25%)
12. Fluency in German and English, both spoken and written
