Your goal
You will focus on building a network, managing the deal team of passionate dealmakers, and advising and guiding our mid-market clients through the entire buy-side or sell-side process. Marktlink has no specific industry focus; we cover almost all industries, allowing you to bring your own network or build one based on your preference. We seek a candidate who loves closing deals, is passionate about entrepreneurship, and enjoys working with entrepreneurs. Your long-term goal is to build a team of 25+ dealmakers within 5 years.
As M&A Partner at Marktlink, you will be responsible for the entire transaction process from A to Z across various industries and entrepreneurs. You will perform company and market analyses, prepare valuations and bid books, meet potential buyers and sellers, and expand and maintain your network. Our ideal candidate has at least 7 years of experience at an M&A boutique, with a strong financial foundation, analytical skills, and a commercial mindset. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality M&A advice and building a strong team of dealmakers.
Your responsibilities
* Build and lead a close-knit team, starting with three to four members, with plans to grow to at least 25 team members or a leading market position.
* Develop, launch, and manage a dynamic M&A office.
* Acquire leads and complete M&A transactions (buy-side and sell-side) in the mid-market of your country.
* Create and implement ambitious business plans in collaboration with other Marktlink partners and colleagues.
* Conduct commercial and marketing activities to establish Marktlink in your country.
Your profile
* Active network with trusted relationships and proven success in dealmaking and acquiring mid-market M&A engagements, especially in Berlin.
* Native-level German and professional-level English skills are essential.
* 7-10 years’ experience in Corporate Finance Advisory (Big 4, M&A Boutique, or Corporate Finance firm).
* Strong focus on high-quality service provision.
* Technically proficient, generating trust through expertise.
* Outgoing personality, strong communicator, commercially energetic, curious, and entrepreneurial.
* Excellent professional qualifications and career progression.
* High IQ and EQ; sharp analytically, with excellent numeracy skills and strategic insight.
