Job Description
As a Commercial Catalyst Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales and business development across the DACH region. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers, as well as identifying new opportunities to drive growth.
* You will manage customer interactions, provide sales forecasts, negotiate contracts, and close deals while representing the company's interests.
* Market analysis and competitor landscape evaluation are also key responsibilities, ensuring you stay up-to-date on market intelligence and develop effective account plans with the business team.
You will also identify customer needs and new leads through interactions, coordinate the qualification process, and present tailored solutions.
In addition, you will seek new business opportunities, manage existing relationships, participate in international exhibitions, and monitor relevant technical regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* PhD/Master's degree in chemistry, catalysis, chemical engineering, or equivalent
* Over 3 years of experience in technical sales, business development, process engineering, marketing, and working with customers in the area of catalysts, the petrochemical industry, the oil & gas sector, or fine chemicals/pharmaceutical industry
* Strong organizational skills with an affinity for digital tools, excellent communication and negotiation abilities, and distinct networking competencies
* Proven ability to build and maintain long-lasting relationships both internally and externally, with confidence in presenting and conversing in English and German, and additional language skills being beneficial
* Ability to convince and influence with a strong customer focus and eagerness to learn the technical aspects of the catalyst business
* Travel requirement of at least 50%
