Could you be the full-time Project Planning Manager Traxx Locomotives (f/m/d) in Kassel we’re looking for?
Your Future Role
More than 35,000 locomotives have already travelled the world from Kassel. At Alstom's traditional site in Kassel, in addition to new construction, service for the well-known Traxx locomotive platform is playing an increasingly important role. Our corporate functions play a key role in supporting and continuously improving the performance of our sites. You’ll report to Raju ROY and work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team.
As a Project Planning Manager (f/m/d) you will lead the planning, scheduling, and progress control of complex locomotive projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and contractual commitments. You will be a key member of the Project Core Team, guiding stakeholders through the planning lifecycle and proactively managing risks and opportunities.
We’ll look for you to :
1. Strategic Planning & Scheduling
2. Develop and maintain the Detailed Project Schedule (DPS), integrating sub-schedules from all involved functions and partners;
3. Apply the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) as a cost and progress management tool;
4. Lead harmonization of schedules across internal and external stakeholders, including consortium partners and suppliers’
5. Monitor critical paths, identify risks early, and propose mitigation or recovery plans;
6. Leverage SAP insights to better understand and align with production scheduling and material availability.
7. Leadership & Communication
8. Facilitate schedule-related meetings within the Project Core Team and across functions;
9. Ensure transparent communication of schedule objectives and updates to all stakeholders;
10. Support the Project Manager in discussions around schedule delays, improvements, and change requests;
11. Represent the project in consortium settings, maintaining proactive engagement with partner planners.
12. Performance & Reporting
13. Deliver timely schedule updates, progress reports, and KPI tracking (, OTD, documentation milestones, gate reviews);
14. Provide schedule analysis during tenders, highlighting critical paths and planning risks;
15. Contribute to the definition of the Project Time Management Plan and ensure consistency across units.

17. University degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
18. Alternatively, a tertiary qualification with relevant planning & scheduling experience.
19. Additional certification in planning tools or project management is a plus.
20. Experience & Growth Potential
21. 3–5 years of experience in project planning or scheduling roles;
22. Familiarity with industries such as railways, energy, oil & gas, or technology;
23. Proficiency in Primavera and MS Project is essential; knowledge of Planisware and SAP is a strong advantage;
24. Strong interpersonal skills, proactive mindset, and ability to manage multiple priorities;
25. Fluent German & English language skills.
