Freelance Construction Manager | Hyperscale Data Centre Project | Germany
Location: Frankfurt (site‑based)
Contract: Freelance, 12 months (extensions highly likely)
Start Date: Immediate Start
Languages: English required; German not essential
Project Overview:
You'll be joining a major multi‑phase hyperscale data centre build, supporting construction, MEP integration, commissioning and the installation of mission‑critical systems for cloud and AI infrastructure. This environment is fast-paced, complex, and highly technical.
Your Responsibilities:
* Lead on‑site delivery across construction, structural works, MEP coordination and day‑to‑day operations
* Manage subcontractors and drive progress across all work fronts
* Oversee logistics, planning, scheduling, and workflow execution
* Ensure compliance with health & safety standards and quality processes
* Coordinate with engineering, project management, and construction teams
* Oversee installation of electrical, mechanical, cooling and other critical systems
* Report progress, risks, and key milestones to senior leadership
Skills required:
* Strong experience delivering large‑scale or mission‑critical projects (data centres preferred)
* Solid understanding of MEP systems, structural works, and construction sequencing
* Proven ability to lead subcontractors and coordinate multi‑discipline teams
* Skilled in site logistics, planning, scheduling, and daily operations
* Strong focus on health & safety, quality control, and compliance
* Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and stakeholder management
