About the Role
Join a market leader in Europe for Substation and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. With years of secured project work ahead, this is an exciting opportunity to make an impact on high-profile renewable energy projects.
We are seeking an experienced HSE Advisor/Manager who is proactive, decisive, and passionate about safety. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring compliance, promoting a strong safety culture, and driving best practices.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement HSE policies and programs in line with German regulations and industry standards.
* Conduct risk assessments, audits, and site inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
* Collaborate with project teams to integrate HSE considerations into planning and execution.
* Deliver training and guidance on safe work practices and PPE usage.
* Investigate incidents and prepare detailed reports with preventive recommendations.
* Liaise with regulatory bodies, clients, and subcontractors on HSE matters.
* Monitor HSE performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
* Stay updated on German HSE legislation and ensure alignment with ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 standards.
What We’re Looking For
* Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
* HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH or equivalent).
* Proven experience in construction, ideally with HV substations or BESS projects .
* Strong knowledge of German HSE legislation (DGUV, TRBS).
* Excellent IT skills and ability to work with digital tools.
* Confident decision-maker, team player, and not afraid to stop work for safety concerns.
* Fluent in German and English is required
