We are seeking a results-oriented and grounded Head of Operations to lead the full operational turnaround of a manufacturing business operating under our client's brand. Known for its long-standing legacy in architectural paneling and glass-fused-to-steel tank technology, our client is now entering a new phase of revival and modernisation under committed new ownership. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing Production, Procurement, Maintenance, Quality, EHS, Planning, and Logistics —restoring operational excellence, delivery reliability, and cultural cohesion in a business that is being repositioned for long-term success. The role requires strong hands-on leadership, daily presence on the shop floor, and the ability to build trust and accountability across teams. About our Client (The Brand) Our client is a respected European brand in enamel-coated architecturalpanels and glass-fused-to-steel tanks and digestors. Its solutions are valued for their durability, aesthetic quality, and performance in harsh conditions: Architectural Panels For tunnels, train stations, subways, and building facades, known for fire resistance, low maintenance, and long-term colour retention. Storage Tanks For drinking water, wastewater, agricultural grain, and animal feed storage, offering corrosion resistance and longevity. Biogas Digestors For renewable energy production from organic waste and agricultural residues, trusted for gas tightness and chemical durability. Key Responsibilities Lead all operational functions: Production, Planning, Procurement, Maintenance, and Logistics Leading 5 departments with approximately 80-100 employees. Rebuild production cadence and team discipline, ensuring reliable delivery and consistent product quality. Stabilise the supplier ecosystem, optimise material flow, and manage costefficiencies. Implement and lead daily management systems, visual KPIs, and structured shopfloor reviews. Drive lean manufacturing practices and quality assurance systems across panel and tank production. Collaborate with the CFO and CEO to align operations with business goals and customer commitments. Develop and coach frontline leaders; build an empowered, performance oriented shopfloor culture. Requirements 10–15 years of experience in operations leadership in German industrial manufacturing , ideally in metal fabrication, coatings, tanks, or building materials. Strong knowledge of engineered-to-order or batch production environments. Experience in organisational transformation or operational turnaround contexts is highly desirable. Deep understanding of production planning, supplier management, and quality systems. Fluent in German and English (mandatory). High personal ownership, integrity, and the ability to lead by example.
