Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Coordinator Transportations (m/f/d) to support our global shipping and transport activities. In this role, you will be responsible for the smooth, compliant, and efficient movement of goods—coordinating with internal departments, external service providers, and authorities to meet customer-specific and legal requirements. The position involves managing documentation, customs, transport planning, and proactive issue resolution across a dynamic and international environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure on-time and compliant coordination of global shipments across all modes of transport
* Handle special and emergency shipments, designing tailored transport solutions when needed
* Coordinate with internal teams, external logistics providers, and authorities based on customer requirements
* Communicate professionally in German and English with service providers, customers, and suppliers
* Prepare and manage transport documentation, customs statements, and declarations
* Track shipments and handle escalations in case of delays or disruptions
* Forecast and manage internal and external logistics capacities and resources
* Ensure compliance with legal transport, customs, and internal company regulations
* Conduct global customs clearance processes, directly or via appointed providers
* Advise internal teams on logistics, customs, taxes, and trade finance topics
* Handle hazardous materials according to applicable regulations
* Support software rollouts and system maintenance as a logistics key user
* Verify freight invoices for accuracy against agreed terms and market conditions
Job Requirements
* Completed training as a forwarding agent (Speditionskaufmann/-frau) or comparable commercial background
* Substantial professional work experience in transport and logistics coordination
* Strong communication and negotiation skills; fluent in English and proficient in German
* Confident using Microsoft Office; familiarity with ERP and transport management systems (TMS)
* Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is an advantage
* Sound knowledge of international customs regulations and hazardous materials handling
