Your Role
For the German market we are looking for an experienced PV Project Developer based in the Greater area of Hannover or Berlin, with strong stakeholder management skills. Working alongside an existing Project Developer and supported by a multidisciplinary team (Technical Engineer, Legal Advisor, Marketing Communications Advisor and Financial Advisor), you will work on developing solar projects in Niedersachsen, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and Sachsen-Anhalt and bring them to ready to build. Sunvest GmbH has an office in Hannover, where you are expected to work at least two days a week together with the Project Developer. Our German development team is expected to grow in the coming years.
Key Responsibilities
The scope of this role will include:
* Collaborating on the development of solar parks, Agri-PV and nature friendly ground-mounted PV projects
* Liaising with local authorities, grid operators, nature and water management organizations, landowners, neighbouring residents, farmers and other stakeholders
* Present project concepts and planning proposals to stakeholders and integrate feedback into project development
* Coordinate grid connections and cable route planning, including organizing grid capacity
* Negotiate preliminary agreements and finalize contracts with landowners
* Work with the team on power sales strategies including cPPAs and EEG applications
* Monitor developments in the renewable energy market and incorporate relevant insights into the development of our projects
You will report to and work together with the development Director of Sunvest GmbH and will be an integral part of our development team. As Sunvest operates across Germany, the Netherlands and France, willingness to travel and spend time abroad is required.
Required education and attributes
The ideal candidate brings solid expertise within the renewable energy sector and a genuine passion for sustainable energy. You are personally driven to make a positive impact, take initiative and assume responsibility for our projects.
We require:
* At least three years of relevant experience in the renewable energy sector
* A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant subject (e.g. renewable energy, engineering, environmental sciences, spatial planning, or similar)
In addition, the candidate should demonstrate:
* Excellent social and communication skills (written and verbal)
* Native-level German and fluent English
* Proven experience in project development, stakeholder management and contracting
* Experience with organizing grid capacity and grid connections
* A thorough, structured working style combined with strong organizational skills and social intelligence
