Automated Bagging Solutions
In addition to our void-fill and cushioning range, Pregis offers a complete portfolio of automated bagging solutions, combining in-house manufactured poly and paper bags with automated machinery. We serve multiple markets across the industrial and e-commerce sectors, providing both standard and custom-designed systems to meet a variety of packaging needs.
Assignment
As Business Development Manager Automated Bagging Solutions for the South Germany, Austria and Switzerland, you will define strategic goals, build relationships, identify business opportunities, negotiate and close deals, and maintain a deep understanding of market conditions to drive sales growth. You will collaborate with key internal stakeholders to maximize impact and deliver value to our customers.
Your focus will be on acquiring large new customers, clearly presenting Pregis’ value proposition, and converting prospects into long-term business partners.
General Purpose of the Job
* Identify and manage key prospects, understand their needs, market behavior, and success drivers.
* Build a strong market position by targeting leading and influential potential customers.
* Understand the competitive landscape of 3PLs, logistics providers, e-commerce, and automotive sectors, and the roles of distributors, designers, and integrators.
* Map stakeholders, influencers, and decision-makers, and build a Pregis team to engage them effectively.
* Position Pregis as a high-quality, responsible supplier with a compelling value proposition.
* Set the right priorities to ensure consistent sales growth, high conversion of leads, and healthy margins.
* Ensure strong collaboration across relevant teams to create impactful proposals and deliver winning pitches to potential customers.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Build and implement an annual business development plan to generate sales growth and meet targets.
* Guide new business opportunities from initial engagement through contract negotiation and deal closure.
* Maximize customer impact by aligning efforts with relevant internal stakeholders.
* Develop sufficient technical knowledge to effectively communicate our value in machinery, consumables, and sustainability.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records for opportunity tracking, forecasting, and reporting.
* Support the preparation and alignment of marketing materials and demonstrations.
* Monitor changing market trends and keep all stakeholders informed.
* Secure a seamless transition of new customers, ensuring internal roles and responsibilities are clear.

Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or similar advanced degree preferred.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or product/marketing management.
* Experience in packaging, automation, or industrial solutions is a plus.
* Fluent in German and English; other languages are an asset.
* Willingness to travel up to 80%.
