Formulation Development Leader (all genders)
Lead the development of new formulations to support innovation and life cycle management of Natural (Phyto and Biotic) products. You are also responsible for the development, compliance and affordability of the new formulations, the compilation of the technical data and the writing of the respective CMC dossier sections. As a technology and scientific expert, you are also involved in literature research to inform the selection of natural ingredients and guide the formulation development program.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Evaluate new formulation concepts and recommend promising innovations for development to fulfill consumer and category needs
* Lead the timely development and optimization of formulations through internal and external trials
* Select appropriate raw materials in line with regulatory and quality standards and ensure that all development batches, including clinical and consumer samples, are produced according to SOPs
* Maintain complete documentation for all raw materials (e.g. herbal extracts, excipients, packaging)
* Design and oversee stability testing, approve stability data and recommend shelf‑life, while preparing the relevant sections of CMC dossiers and other technical and regulatory documentation
* Identify suitable formula and manufacturing processes that meet product requirements and target cost of goods (CoGs)
* Manage an effective handover of formulations to internal manufacturing and product supply stakeholders while building and leveraging external partnerships and expert networks to support product development activities
* Conduct literature and market research to inform selection of natural ingredients and guide the product development program
WHO YOU ARE
* Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences or other relevant scientific discipline
* Several years of experience in the FMCG / OTC area
* Knowledge of GMP and GLP requirements
* Experience in Formulation Developement is preferred
* Very good English skills, written and spoken; German language is a plus
The position is limited to 6 months.
