Your mission
The Local Head will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for ReDI School's Berlin office. The position will strengthen ReDI School’s capacity in local and federal representation, partnership development, and sustainable fundraising, while ensuring the continued delivery and growth of high-quality educational programs.
This role is key to enabling ReDI School to operate more efficiently, build local ownership, and ensure the long-term sustainability of its Berlin programs.
Your tasks
1. Strategic Leadership and Organisational Development
* Lead the ReDI School Berlin branch and team in alignment with ReDI’s overall vision and strategy.
* Develop and implement a local strategic plan that supports program excellence, financial sustainability, and community impact.
* Set growth objectives, performance indicators, and reporting mechanisms to measure progress and guide decision-making.
* Oversee the financial management and planning of Berlin operations, ensuring transparent and sustainable use of resources.
2. Operational and Program Management
* Ensure smooth, high-quality operations of all educational and community programs delivered in Berlin.
* Promote a healthy, collaborative work environment and ensure effective communication within the Berlin team and across the national organisation.
* Oversee documentation and reporting systems for program and operational processes.
* Support staff wellbeing and team development through coaching, regular feedback, and performance management.
3. Fundraising, Partnerships and External Relations
* Drive local fundraising efforts in coordination with the teams in ReDI Germany, focusing on public (local, state, and federal) funding and foundation and corporate partnerships.
* Identify and cultivate relationships with key Berlin-based stakeholders, funders, and partners in government, business, and civil society.
* Represent ReDI School in public events, policy discussions, and relevant networks to strengthen ReDI’s positioning in Berlin and at the national level.
* Work closely with the Senior Fundraiser, and leadership team to align local fundraising with the organisation’s broader strategic goals.
4. Communications and Visibility
* Enhance ReDI School’s visibility and reputation in Berlin through effective media engagement, advocacy, and stakeholder relations.
* Coordinate with the Communications Manager to highlight partner contributions and impact stories across social media, the website, and public reports.
* Lead the organisation of local ReDI events to engage new donors, alumni, and stakeholders
Your profile
* Completed university degree (Master’s level or equivalent) or demonstrated equivalent professional experience.
* 10–15 years of professional experience, including 5–6 years in senior leadership or team management within Berlin or comparable environments.
* Proven experience in partnership management, stakeholder engagement, and public or private fundraising.
* Strong understanding of Berlin’s policy, funding, and business ecosystem.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills in German (C1 level) and English.
* Demonstrated ability to lead through change and promote inclusive, values-based leadership.
