About the Role:
As the Manager IT Infrastructure Service Delivery - Connectivity, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless delivery, stability, and continuous improvement of BioNTech's network and connectivity services. Your expertise will directly contribute to maintaining high availability, performance, compliance, and security across critical enterprise systems. You will oversee WAN, LAN, WLAN, VPN, internet connectivity, firewall services, and related network security within hybrid on-premise and cloud environments. Acting as the primary contact for both internal stakeholders and external service providers, you will drive standardization, process maturity (ITIL), and automation to enable reliable integration of managed connectivity services.
Your Contribution:
* Manage external service providers to ensure compliance with SLAs and optimal service performance
* Oversee end-to-end connectivity services including WAN, LAN, WLAN, VPN, firewall security edge components
* Define service strategies and roadmaps aligned with IT and business goals
* Ensure stable operation of enterprise networks while driving incident management processes
* Collaborate across teams to establish connectivity standards for hybrid cloud environments
* Drive process automation and tooling enhancements for efficient operations
A Good Match:
* Proven experience in IT Service Management and Service Delivery within network/connectivity operations (minimum of 5 years)
* Solid knowledge of ITIL processes including Incident Management, Change Management, and Service Level Management
* Strong understanding of enterprise network technologies such as SD-WAN, campus/datacenter LANs, VPNs, firewalls & cloud integrations
* Exceptional communication skills with a customer-centric mindset and ability to manage stakeholders effectively
* Experience in vendor management including contract negotiation and cost optimization for connectivity services
* Leadership qualities with a focus on fostering accountability and continuous improvement within teams
