Job Description Assembles mechanical units, fabricated parts/components and/or electrical/electronic systems to make subassemblies, assemblies or complete units using hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures and miscellaneous equipment | Fits, aligns, calibrates and adjusts parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements | Diagnoses and repairs faults within malfunctioning customer return units, rework units or products that have failed to meet requirements SPECIALIST CAREER BAND: Performs various types of specialist roles, including: * technical tasks required to support operations (e.g., IT development, research support, skilled trade), * clerical/administrative or specialized support tasks in an office, field or retail store/site setting, * operational or manual tasks, primarily in manufacturing, supply chain or operational environments. Typically requires vocational training or the equivalent experience at senior levels, and may require external certification but typically does not require a university degree. May have limited direct reports, but spends the majority of their time on their personal contributions to work. SPECIALIST LEVEL A: Limited formal training and/or work experience. Works within established procedures under a substantial degree of supervision. SPECIALIST SUB-LEVEL A3: Follows most established procedures, and is considered semi-skilled through work experience.
