We are looking for a full-time or part-time Software Engineer (m/f/d) for our TES team at our Hamburg-Bahrenfeld location as soon as possible.
Technology Enabled Solutions at Zeppelin Power Systems is responsible for developing IoT solutions based on engine and system data for a wide range of applications – including marine vessels, locomotives, combined heat and power plants. With our comprehensive AEC solution, we enable fleet-wide monitoring and ensure full transparency in the field. Our mission is to provide our customers with actionable insights into engine performance, environmental conditions, and other relevant data.
Your responsibilities
1. Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines using AWS services,RabbitMQ, Flink, Kafka, PostgreSQL, and more
2. Build and manage modern datastoragesolutionsto support analytical and reportingusecases
3. Develop and optimize APIs forseamlessdataaccess and systemintegration
4. Provision, configure, and maintaincloudinfrastructureusing Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform)
5. Collaboratecloselywith internal and external developmentteams, contributingto and enhancingourexisting codebase
6. Communicateeffectivelywithpeerstobuild high-quality, forward-thinkingproducts
7. Maintainconsistency in documentation and code modularity, ensuringclarity and reusability
8. Advance our development best practices, and implement and improve testing and automation
Your profile
9. You have proven experience as a Software Engineer with a strong track record of building and maintaining robust data pipelines
10. You have substantial experience with AWS services
11. You are proficient in PostgreSQL, Kafka, Flink, and RESTful APIs
12. You have hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, particularly with Terraform
13. You have strong expertise in programming languages such as Python, C, C++, or Java
14. You are versatile, curious minded and you enjoy expanding your areas of expertise
15. You enjoy communicating and working independently as well as part of a team
16. You think beyond your given tasks and always have the bigger picture in mind
17. You are proficient in English and comfortable with remote teamwork
