The Company:
A global infrastructure and technology group delivering advanced clean energy solutions and integrated services across a wide range of industrial and renewable sectors. With a well-established presence across Germany and the wider DACH region, the business supports both public and private sector clients with end-to-end project delivery, from development and planning to execution and operations.
The Role:
* Lead the legal function for Germany, acting as the principal advisor to country leadership and senior commercial teams.
* Oversee legal matters relating to project development, commercial contracts (including supply, service, partnership, and procurement agreements), and regulatory compliance.
* Advise on corporate governance, risk, and regulatory frameworks in line with national and EU requirements.
* Manage relationships with external counsel and represent the business in legal and regulatory discussions.
* Support internal functions on compliance training, policy development, and contract standardisation.
* Build and manage a small legal team, while liaising with global legal colleagues to ensure alignment across jurisdictions.
The Person:
* Fully qualified lawyer in Germany with a minimum of 10 years’ post-qualification experience.
* Strong background in commercial law, ideally gained in the energy, industrial, infrastructure, or construction sectors.
* Comfortable advising on a broad mix of legal matters, including contracts, compliance, public law, and regulatory issues.
* Commercially minded, with the ability to assess legal risk within the context of complex project environments.
* Previous experience in a leadership or senior advisory legal role, ideally within a multinational or matrix structure.
* Fluent in German and English.
