Senior Project Controls Specialist at Sedgman We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Controls Specialist to join the team on a major EPCM lithium processing project in Germany. This key role will coordinate project control activities across construction engineering and procurement functions, ensuring that the project is delivered safely, aligns with design specifications, and meets schedule and budget targets to support profit and commercial objectives. Responsibilities Liaise with other project functions as needed to engage in design and constructability reviews, contribute to resource and cost forecasting, and offer constructive feedback and recommendations for process improvements. Coordinate the activities of the project team, managing workloads and providing technical and administrative guidance to ensure project objectives are met efficiently. Manage procurement and contracts, including issuing purchase orders, overseeing subcontractor agreements, and ensuring compliance with contract conditions. Support project planning and reporting, assisting in schedule development, budget preparation, and progress monitoring. Ensure quality and compliance, making sure all work packages meet client and company standards and that scope changes are properly documented. Maintain project documentation, including schedules, drawings, and correspondence, in line with internal procedures. Engage with stakeholders, including clients and subcontractors, to resolve technical queries and ensure project requirements are met. Assist with financial oversight, including cost reviews, forecasts, and financial reporting. Qualifications Minimum of 10 years of project experience, ideally construction projects within the mining sector. Proven experience in contracts negotiation and management. Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project and MS Office Suite. Experience in procurement and/or contract administration of site subcontracts. Demonstrated capability in cost control, planning, and design coordination, with working knowledge of JDE (JD Edwards). Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering, project management, or related fields. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; fluency in English and German languages highly desired. Excellent stakeholder management skills.
