Join our Environment & Health Department as our new Environmental Impact Assessment - Managing Consultant (m/f/d) and work with us to close the gap to a sustainable future.Your new roleAs our new EIA Managing Consultant (m/f/d) you will be part of the Environment & Health (E&H) Department in Germany and also part of a global network of EIA practitioners within our E&H division. Our existing EIA team in Germany covers local infrastructure, rail and onshore wind projects and also international assignments related to project finance. It is an exciting time to join us as we are now rolling out sector approaches for Rail and Energy, which pulls together all our disciplines, to align and streamline our service to our clients- you can be a part of its success!Your key responsibilities will be:Project Oversight: Providing high-level oversight for multiple EIA projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.Client Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, providing expert advice, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.Quality Assurance: Ensuring that all EIA reports and assessments meet high-quality standards and regulatory requirements.Team Development: Mentoring and developing junior and senior consultants, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.Financial Management: Managing the financial aspects of EIA projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating risks associated with EIA projects to ensure smooth project execution.Regulatory and Policy Insight: Staying updated on environmental regulations and policies, and advising clients on compliance and best practices.Business Development: Identifying new opportunities for growth in EIA services, preparing proposals, and leading business development initiatives.Stakeholder Engagement: Leading engagement with stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and community representatives, to ensure transparent and effective communication.Partnership expansion: Build a partnership network of companies that leverage collective expertise, share resources, and drive innovation, fostering collaborative growth and unique opportunities that amplify success across various industries.About youA Bachelor's degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, ecology, or a related field.A Master's degree or PhD in a relevant disciplineSignificant experience in environmental impact assessment and related fieldsProven track record of managing large-scale EIA projectsProfessional certifications such as Certified Environmental Professional (CEP) or similar certifications are beneficialFamiliarity with relevant German environmental regulations and standardsStrong analytical skills for assessing environmental data and proficiency in using EIA-related software and toolsStrong project management abilities, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocationExperience with risk assessment and mitigation strategiesAbility to mentor and develop junior staffExperience in developing proposals and securing contractsAbility to identify new business opportunities and drive growthExcellent verbal and written communication skills in German and EnglishPersonal qualities that will help you succeed in this role include:An excellent communicator with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, clients, suppliers and industryWillingness to travel, including possible international travelWhat we can offer youCommitment to your developmentLeaders guided by our Leadership PrinciplesA culture that welcomes you as the unique person you areInspiration from colleagues, clients, and projectsThe long-term thinking of a foundation-owned companyFlexible working hours and locationsHybrid working: 2-3 days of mobile working per weekPermanent employment, with part-time possibilitiesAn extensively subsidised 'Germany ticket'Contribution to company pension scheme and occupational disability insuranceReady to join us?Please submit your application with your up-to-date CV.
