We are recruiting on behalf of a successful engineering company from Grimma that specializes in sustainable and technically sophisticated solutions in the chemical, pipe and plant construction sector. If you have a passion for complex projects and building long-term customer relationships, we are looking for you to open up international markets and accompany customized projects from the initial inquiry to the conclusion of the contract. Technical expertise and integrity are at the forefront of this role as a Sales Engineer (m/f/d).

Your tasks

After a thorough induction, you will take on a central role in customer support and project development:

7. Maintaining customer relationships: you will be responsible for looking after our existing international customer base and ensuring that their needs are optimally met.

8. Driving growth: You will actively identify new business opportunities and develop new customer relationships.

9. Identifying needs & finding solutions: You will process customer inquiries professionally and independently determine specific needs in order to develop tailor-made solutions.

10. Project responsibility from A to Z: You will accompany projects - from smaller projects to complete turnkey systems - through the entire cycle: from order clarification to detailed proposal preparation and convincing presentations to the final conclusion of the contract.

Your profile

11. Educational background: A degree in engineering or a comparable technical qualification, ideally related to process engineering, chemistry, mechanical engineering or industrial engineering.

12. Business acumen: A strong commercial understanding is a matter of course for you.

13. Sales or project experience: Initial success in the implementation or international sales of projects is an advantage.

14. IT skills: Familiar with standard office software(MS-Office) and CAD applications(AutoCAD). Knowledge of project management software (MS Project) is a plus.

15. Mindset: You always think in a customer and solution-oriented way.

16. Intercultural competence: Your ability to communicate effectively across cultural boundaries is strong.

17. Language skills: You are business fluent in German (at least C1) and have business fluent English.

18. Additional languages: Knowledge of Spanish, Portuguese or French is a plus.

19. Willingness to travel: You are willing to travel internationally (approx. 40%), with the majority of travel taking place within Germany (typically 1-3 days per trip). Worldwide assignments of up to one week are also possible. Travel planning takes into account work-life balance and relies on efficient means of travel (mostly train or plane)
