What you'll build:
We are looking for an Audience Relations Expert (f/m/d) to support the team for Strategic Initiatives & External Affairs, which coordinates international Government Affairs strategy and execution. While based in Berlin, this is a global function which will collaborate closely with the entire international Government Affairs team.
We are looking for a strategic operator and subject matter expert who can connect the dots between our global Government Affairs team and SAP’s Applied AI Industry Solutions, Sales, and Corporate Affairs.
In your role, you will take on ownership and accountability for the following responsibilities and tasks, including (but not limited to):
* Develop and drive international stakeholder engagement strategy around (sovereign) Artificial Intelligence (AI) and emerging technology opportunities in SAP priority markets
* Engage in strategic projects that enable Government Affairs to support SAP’s AI-related business offerings globally
* Help develop collateral for government stakeholders on AI
* Seed best practices into global SAP target markets to allow SAP to speak with one voice
* Act as a program coordinator for Government Affairs (GA) alongside AI teams, Sales, Business Development and regional Sales leads for AI
* Anticipate and identify global AI developments that can impact the company, such as regulation, trends, and geopolitical developments
* Position SAP in agenda-setting phases, global policy platforms, and international events
* Support the Global Government Affairs management in positioning SAP as a trusted advisor, innovation partner and thought leader
* Act as a liaison for SAP‘s international government affairs team in Berlin
* Liaise with governments, the diplomatic corps, and relevant authorities
Reporting:
* This position reports to the Head of Strategic Initiatives and External Affairs.
What you bring:
Skills and Experience:
* Minimum of 7 years of experience in government affairs, policy consulting, industry associations, or a related field with a specific focus on AI.
* A demonstrated working knowledge of both technology and policy issues around AI and a clear understanding for business needs.
* Proven experience working with executives and developing communication strategies at senior level.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German.
* Strong in project management and organizational skills.
* A well-established network across German ministries and industry associations is a must.
* Additional network across foreign embassies in Berlin would be highly beneficial.
* Prior experience working with or in international policy organizations is a plus.
* Master’s degree in legal studies, politics, economics, or a related field.
