Detail-oriented intern supporting architectural and facilities planning activities, including analyzing floor plans, assisting with capacity calculations, and maintaining accurate building documentation. Works closely with Facilities Managers to organize as-built records, review space layouts, and support planning and design tasks while developing hands-on experience with CAD tools and technical documentation.
Core Activities
1. Assist in analyzing existing floor plans of Church owned and leased facilities, including calculating and documenting building capacity based on established criteria.
2. Review and help verify floor plan areas, including gross internal and gross external measurements.
3. Support the organization and maintenance of accurate as built documentation in collaboration with Facilities Managers and area staff.
4. Prepare and organize architectural information to support facility planning and operations.
5. Ensure documentation is accurate, consistent, and well structured.
Additional Activities
6. Support the review of proposed lease properties, including capacity calculations and documentation.
7. Assist in evaluating lease buildout scopes prepared by consultants for accuracy and alignment with standards.
8. Contribute to the development or revision of floor plans and simple design updates.
9. Help prepare Site Development Plans in line with design standards and local regulations.
10. Perform basic drafting or editing tasks using CAD tools where applicable.
11. Currently studying (or recently graduated in) Architecture, Interior Design, Drafting, or a related field.
12. Strong interest in architectural planning, facilities management, and technical documentation.
13. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
14. Detail oriented, methodical, and organized approach to work.
15. Willingness to learn new tools and processes, especially CAD software.
16. Strong communication skills in English and ability to collaborate with different stakeholders.
17. High level of accuracy, accountability, and commitment to quality work.
Candidates must be based in the Frankfurt area, as regular on-site attendance at the office is required. Please note that relocation support is not provided for this position.
