Position Overview
The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organisation. This includes managing the finance and accounting department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and implementing systems to support strategic decision-making. The role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of financial regulations and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and manage daily operations of the finance and accounting department.
Prepare and present financial statements, reports, and forecasts to Board members and shareholders.
Evaluate and improve auditing systems and internal controls.
Develop financial models and projections to support strategic planning.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and tax laws.
Supervise and train finance staff, including hiring and performance management.
Manage cash flow, budgeting, and financial planning processes.
Recommend improvements to financial policies and procedures.
Liaise between finance, accounting, and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in corporate accounting or financial management.
Proficiency in financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Microsoft Excel).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and reporting standards.
Preferred Skills
CPA or equivalent professional certification.
Experience in financial strategy and risk management.
Strong knowledge of international accounting standards (IFRS or GAAP).
