Key Account Manager Tightening EMEA
Location: Remote (Home Office) or our office in Westhausen, Germany
Summary
In this role, you will take full responsibility for driving sales and profitability across our Cleco and Apex product portfolio, with a strong focus on innovative tightening technology. You’ll work closely with customers to build lasting partnerships, uncover new projects, and identify growth opportunities. By keeping a sharp eye on market trends and competitor activities, you’ll shape strategies that keep us ahead of the curve.
You’ll transform customer requirements into tailored proposals, manage RFQs, and lead successful negotiations. Together with the Director Sales EMEA, you’ll contribute to strategies for sustainable growth. Collaboration matters—you’ll support product launches with marketing and work closely with engineering, operations, and project management to ensure smooth project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Sales and profit responsibility for all Cleco and Apex brand products with a focus on tightening technology
• Close relationship with customers to identify projects and growth opportunities.
• Market observation including market, customer, and competition analysis.
• Managing customer requirements and specifications to coordinate RFQ`s and best fit proposals.
• Results-oriented negotiations in coordination with the Director Sales EMEA
• Further development of sales strategy and concepts to create profitable growth in coordination with the Director Sales EMEA
• Close cooperation with the marketing department in the implementation of product launches at the key account
• Close cooperation with the Engineering, Operations and Project Management departments for the successful implementation of customer projects
Critical Skills & Qualifications:
• Degree in engineering, industrial engineering, technical business administration or demonstrably comparable education and experience
• Several years of professional experience with proven success in the technical capital goods or original equipment supplier industry - primarily in the automotive industry
• Several years of key account management experience in a global environment
• Very strong commercial strategic orientation with solid technical background
• Industry knowledge around assembly industry is an advantage
• High willingness to travel
• Fluent in German and English; other European languages, primarily French, are a plus
