Responsibilities
* Lead the SDV reference architecture and set the embedded software strategy on our automotive Body SoCs, enabling OEMs and Tier 1s to ship production-grade software-defined vehicles on our silicon. Partner with Product Lines to set the architecture vision, standards, and roadmap across embedded platforms, from peripheral driver libraries to application layer
* Define clear architectures and high-quality specs; lead cross-functional teams to delivery under ambitious timelines; drive microservices/event-driven/SOA patterns for in-vehicle compute; ensure safety and cybersecurity by design (ISO 26262, ISO 21434); engage directly with OEM/Tier 1 architects to co-create reference designs and PoCs; guide DevOps/CI/CD and AI best practices for embedded software
* Provide technical leadership and guidance to the automotive business line and product lines, lead and mentor architects/ engineers and software developers, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development
* Conduct market research and competitor analysis to stay up to date with industry trends and technology advancements
* Engage and collaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders understanding software needs and providing tailored solutions, including sales, marketing, and hardware and software engineering teams, to ensure alignment and effective communication
Qualifications and Skills
* Ability to define clear architectures, write high-quality specs, and lead cross-functional delivery under ambitious timelines.
* Knowledge in AI, generative/agentic AI for embedded software and Edge AI
* Experience in semiconductors and embedded software, MCUs, processors, SoCs based on ARM, RISC V
* Experience with embedded software architecture and hardware/software co-design for MCUs
* Experience in automotive software engineering standards and practices, agile development, ASPICE is a strong plus
* Expertise and deep understanding on network and diagnosis, Ethernet/10BaseT1S/TSN, RCP, CAN/CAN-FD/ LIN/ SPI, SOME/IP, UDS/DoIP, E2E protection
* Knowledge in safety and cybersecurity by design, ISO 26262, ISO 21434
* Fluency in coding/modeling and tools, embedded C/ RUST, embedded; familiarity with model-based design and systems modeling (UML/SysML).
* Experience with open-source tools, toolchains, and requirements tools (Jama) is a plus.
* Familiarity with agile development methodologies, DevOps, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD)
* Excellent stakeholder management across hardware, software, safety, and supplier ecosystems.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders, including customers, engineering teams, and senior management
Background
* Automotive OEM or TIER1 with responsibility in software strategy and system architecture (preferable, Software-Defined Vehicle architecture and endpoints)
* Software Architecture and Engineering owner driving vision on tangible roadmap execution in cross-functional teams
* Artificial intelligence generative and agentic AI in embedded software development
* Network Ethernet, 10BaseT1S or higher, RCP, CAN/CAN-FD, LIN/ SPI
* Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field
* Fluent business English (word/ text)
