Overview
PrimeKey Labs GmbH seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design, implement and maintain secure software applications primarily in Germany with remote options in Sweden.
Location
Aachen, Germany (remote within Germany) or Stockholm, Sweden (remote within Sweden) – occasional in‑office visits required.
Responsibilities
* Design, implement and maintain software features and functionalities.
* Perform code reviews, pull requests and ensure coding standards are followed.
* Collaborate closely with engineers and cross‑functional teams to solve complex problems.
* Contribute to improving software development processes and practices.
* Identify and resolve technical issues and performance bottlenecks.
* Mentor and support junior engineers.
* Work with quality assurance teams and participate in QA activities as needed.
* Participate in internal and external product support when required.
* Produce technical documentation and project reports.
* Participate in Agile ceremonies and iterative development processes.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
* Extensive experience in software development or a related domain.
* Strategic thinking, excellent problem‑solving skills, and strong competence with relevant tools and technologies.
* In‑depth knowledge of design patterns, architectural skills and advanced debugging capabilities.
* Ability to lead complex projects, drive strategic initiatives and influence decision‑making.
* Experience mentoring team members and driving technical improvements.
* Comprehensive knowledge of industry trends, company strategy and cross‑functional processes.
* Solid understanding of software architecture principles, code optimization and continuous integration practices.
