The Company :
A highly successful investor, developer, and IPP of utility-scale renewable energy projects. Their expansion into various markets has created an opportunity for a CEO in Germany to lead growth and ensure delivery of their ambitious yet achievable 5-year plan.
The Role
The role involves developing, executing, and commercialising a large portfolio of utility-scale renewables, hydrogen, and battery storage projects, while supporting significant growth in greenfield and M&A pipelines.
Some duties include:
* Working closely with the global management board.
* Full P&L responsibility.
* Developing and executing 3-5 year strategies to accelerate growth towards development, construction, and operation at scale.
* Overseeing the development and commercialisation of 300MW - 500MW+ of utility-scale projects annually, from ready-to-build to financial close.
* Ensuring success in areas such as PPAs, financing, pre-construction, and construction.
* Developing processes, tools, and best practices for effective project management and stakeholder engagement.
* Structuring and undertaking board-level responsibilities in SPVs.
* Participating in sell-side M&A for select projects.
* Building and leading a high-performing team in Germany.
* Providing strategic, prioritisation, and commercial support to the project development, BD, and energy markets teams.
* Establishing relationships with project developers, financial institutions, investors, governments, and major offtakers across the region.
* Leading commercial negotiations and lobbying efforts.
* Offering an attractive LTIP and potential progression to Group CEO or similar within 5 years.
The Person
The successful candidate will likely have:
* Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Law, or Engineering.
* At least 3 years in a leadership role within a renewables company.
* Experience leading negotiations across development and construction phases.
* Strong commercial skills and financial acumen.
