As a Mechanical Structural Engineer - Mobile Crane, you will be responsible for the design, analysis, and continuous improvement of structural components for crane products. You will ensure the integrity, reliability, and compliance of mechanical structures in alignment with industry and regulatory standards. This role plays a critical part in supporting product development, quality assurance, and technical support.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Structural Design and Analysis
* Design mechanical structures for crane components, ensuring strength, durability, and compliance with applicable standards.
* Conduct structural simulations and finite element analysis (FEA) to validate and optimize designs.
2. New Product Development
* Contribute to the development of new crane products from initial concept through prototyping and testing.
* Collaborate with R&D and product engineering teams to integrate structural elements into overall product architecture.
3. Quality Improvement
* Identify design weaknesses and propose improvements for existing products.
* Lead root cause analysis for structural issues and develop corrective design actions.
4. Technical Documentation
* Prepare technical drawings, design specifications, and supporting documentation.
* Ensure all documentation aligns with European and international regulatory standards.
5. Cross-functional Collaboration
* Collaborate with electrical, hydraulic, and systems engineering teams to ensure full integration of mechanical structures.
* Provide engineering support to manufacturing, quality control, and after-sales service teams.
6. Regulatory Compliance
* Ensure mechanical designs meet European and global compliance requirements.
* Support certification processes with the required technical documentation and justifications.
7. Cost Analysis and Optimization
* Evaluate the cost structure of mechanical components and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
* Apply value engineering and design-to-cost principles to maintain performance while reducing expenses.
8. Innovation and Technology Development
* Research and propose new materials, design approaches, and manufacturing methods to improve structural performance.
* Stay informed on technological advancements and apply emerging engineering practices to product development.
Ideal Profile :
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
* 3+ years of experience in structural design and analysis, preferably in crane products.
* Strong proficiency in CAD and FEA tools (e.g., SolidWorks, ANSYS, Abaqus).
* Solid understanding of materials science, welding, and structural mechanics.
* Familiarity with relevant European and international engineering standards.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills in cross-functional environments.
* Fluent in English; German or Chinese is an advantage.
